The delegation of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Government headed by Alexey Shmykov (Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast) and Vadim Tretyak (Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast) visited VMP's production site in Aramil to get acquainted with the constructed logistics center and new laboratory of the research institute. President of VMP Holding Mikhail Vakhrushev gave a tour of the enterprise.

The modern production and logistics hub combines manufacturing and logistics infrastructures of the VMP Plant. The logistics center has been built with the support of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Government and received the priority investment project status; the first guests to visit the new modern hub were: Alexey Shmykov (Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast), Vadim Tretyak (Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast), Pavel Borovkov (Head of the Investment Activity Support Department of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast), Igor Zelyonkin (Deputy Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Oblast), Alexander Voronin (Head of the Chemical and Consumer Goods Department of the Ministry of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Oblast), Pavel Nikonorov (Acting Head of the Aramil Urban District), Natalya Shunaylova (Chairwoman of the Economy and Strategic Planning Committee of the Administration of the Aramil Urban District).

VMP Holding's in-house scientific developments ensure its technological sovereignty in the paint industry. That is why the new laboratory building of the VMP research institute is a modern material and technical platform for developing new materials and improving the existing formulations. The modern instrumentation excels many European universities and laboratories. The guests also visited the fire test laboratory, where fireproof compounds are tested.

“Governor Yevgeny Kuivashev pays great attention to the priority project of creating the Dry Port project in the Sverdlovsk Oblast. VMP Holding's new logistics center becomes one of the points of the comprehensive project, thus enhancing the competency of the Sverdlovsk Oblast as a major production and logistics hub, in the area of the chemical industry and new materials as well,” said Alexey Shmykov, Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast.

“Without this support, it would have taken much longer to implement this project. Today, our company is taking efforts to substitute imported products in all industries. Our recent developments concern the effective ship-building protective systems. At present, VMP painting coatings are frequently used in construction of ships of various classes and nuclear icebreakers. Besides we are also ready to offer high-quality coatings for transportation. This matter is particularly relevant due to the departure of foreign companies. This is a new market for us,” said Mikhail Vakhrushev, President of VMP Research and Production Holding.
