The board meeting of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was held in Tatarstan to sum up the Agency’s activities in 2023 and discuss the tasks for 2024. The conference hall of the Institute for Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan gathered the manufacturers, businessmen, and representatives of the Republic's authorities, including Alexey Pesoshin (Prime Minister of Tatarstan), Taliya Minullina (Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency), Midkhat Shagiakhmetov (Minister of Economic Affairs of Tatarstan), Oleg Korobchenko (Minister of Industry), Timur Shagivaleyev (Director General of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone), and Adel Khairullin (Director General of the Krasny Vostok Group of Companies).
Senior Vice President for Commercial Activity of VMP Research and Production Holding Olga Subbotina delivered a report on the investment projects implemented by VMP Holding in the Republic of Tatarstan. The report was mostly devoted to VMP-Alabuga Plant operating in the territory of the Alabuga SEZ. The modern manufacturing facilities occupying more than eight thousand square meters manufacture VMP anticorrosive and fire-proof materials for the oil and gas sector, industrial and service purpose, power industry, and military industrial complex. In the near future, VPM Holding plans to invest more than 250 million rubles in the development of the plant, thus boosting the production of protective paint materials to more than 6,000 tons per year.

Alabuga SEZ is one of the most successful special economic zones of Russia. Its territory accommodates more than 30 unique import-substituting production facilities that are leaders in their relevant industries. Alabuga SEZ accounts for 31% of the overall revenue of all Russian SEZs.
