Mikhail Vakhrushev, President of VMP Holding, received the Grand Prix at the Number One award

Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, congratulated representatives of the business community on the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship. On May 25, the Sinara Center hosted the honoring of the winners of the Number One industrial award and the prize presentation by the head of the region.

This hall today hosts people whose business initiative, courage, and determination serve as a driver of economic development and contribute to the growth of quality of life for Ural residents. The Sverdlovsk Oblast is one of the leading Russian regions in terms of key indicators of business development. The small and medium business provides jobs for about 30 percent of Ural residents, generates significant budget revenues, contributes to innovative growth, scientific and technological progress," said Yevgeny Kuyvashev.

This year, the the long list of the Number One award includes more than 70 leading Ural companies. Winners are determined in five categories.

The Number One Grand Prix was given by the expert community to Mikhail Vakhrushev, honored entrepreneur of the Sverdlovsk Oblast and the president of VMP Research and Production Holding.

EVRAZ NTMK (Nizhny Tagil) was named the winner in the Number One Investment Project category.

The winner in the category Environmental Project Number One was Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant.

The best in the nomination Number One for Resilience During the Pandemic was Yulta company.

The winner in the category Number One in the Fight Against the Pandemic was the Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant.

The award was founded in 2016 by the Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Urals Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Traditionally, the Number One award celebrates the brightest, most effective, and most successful companies in the Urals region.
