Fire protection of metal structures of industrial objects
INDOOR FIRE PROTECTION
Fire-proof coatings with the highest protective properties
To create the coatings ensuring long-term protection from corrosion and fire , the VMP Holding Company puts forward advanced and innovative primers with enhanced protective properties: ISOLEP-primer (epoxy with zinc phosphate), IZOLEP-mastic и VINIKOR-ekoprime-01, VINIKOR и VINIKOR-061. These materials provide for reliable protection of metal structures from corrosion during the standby period before application of the fire-proof coat.Fire retardant coatings based on primers with protective properties
VMP recommends using coating systems based on ZINEP and ZINOTAN zinc-filled primers for protecting steel structures in corrosive industrial environments (chemical, metallurgical, oil, gas, etc.). They provide maximum anticorrosive properties as they protect the steel electrochemically (cold galvanizing). When using epoxy zinc-filled primer ZINEP as a fire-retardant paint, it is most appropriate to use chemically resistant fire-retardant compositions PLAMCOR-1 and PLAMCOR-2, and with polyurethane zinc-filled primer ZINOTAN - PLAMCOR-2 and PLAMCOR-4.
The structural fire-retardant based on the plaster mixture
VMP recommends to use PLAMCOR-4 plaster mixture as a structural fire-resistance. It is designed for bearing steel structures protection in buildings and structures with a fire-resistance degree of I or II, where the metal thickness is reduced to less than 5.8 mm. It is recommended to use in slightly aggressive and non-corrosive environment.Fire-proof coatings with primer GF-021
Fire-proof paints PLAMCOR are compatible with the primer GF-021 widely used in construction. This primer is considered to be the cheapest and most widespread materials. However, it has certain disadvantages. Service life period is one year when metal structures are located in the open air , however, the technological gap between application of the priming coat and application of the fire-proof coat may turn out to be several years. In this connection in many cases when the fire-proof paint is applied on metal structures the corrosive damage is already present. This fact results in violation of the technological conditions and impairs effectiveness of the fire-proof coating.Typical coating systems for indoor metal structures

*Finishing enamels are used when there are increased decorative requirements for fire-protective coatings when it is necessary to protect them from aggressive environmental factors, including UV radiation.
FIRE PROTECTION OF OPEN-AIR LOCATED OBJECTS
For fire protection of objects in the open atmosphere, the holding has developed weather-resistant compositions PLAMKOR-3 and PLAMKOR-5. They are used with reinforced primers (zinc-filled or containing corrosion inhibitors), since it is impractical to apply fire-protective paint with a long service life to a primer with a short service life. To protect the coating from UV radiation, enamels are used as the outer layer: acrylic-urethane POLYTON-UR (UV) or vinyl-epoxy VINIKOR-62.
The epoxy intumescent composition PLAMKOR-5 will provide protection of metal structures in hydrocarbon fire conditions. Allows application at low temperatures (down to -50C).
